The summit was held in Turkmenistan's capital to mark 30 years of the country embracing official neutrality as crucial to its foreign and domestic policy. During his meeting with President Serdar Berdymukhamedov, Putin praised the country's neutrality and said it was "fully justified". He added that Russian and Turkmenistan have developed bilateral ties "successfully". Separately, Putin noted in his meeting with Iran's Masoud Pezeshkian, the successful bilateral cooperation in various fields and reaffirmed Russia’s support for Iran on the international stage.
