Jonathan E. Harper, age 56, of Talbott, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley Harper and Kay Gross.
He is survived by his wife, Kate Harper; son, Quinton Harper; daughter, Bailey (Thomas) Wigley; sisters, Jennifer (Wayne) Sommerfield, Jerilyn (Chris) Agee, and Nancy (Tom) Long; brothers, Scott Morgando and Tommy Parrish; along with numerous friends who have become family.
Jon was a devoted and loving husband to Kate for twenty-eight years and a proud parent to both his children.
He retired from the U.S. Army after over twenty-four years of service, and was a highly decorated combat veteran.
He was a loud, strong leader in combat and in retirement.
