MISHAWAKA, Ind. (WNDU) - The gift giving season is underway in Mishawaka.
The Saint Joseph Health system hosted their 22nd annual senior holiday meal.
Senior ages 55 and up could drive up and receive prepackaged ready to heat holiday themed meals, all for free.
This annual community event ran from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Sister Maura Brannick Health Center.
Saint Joseph Health System partnered with Cultivate Food Rescue, Alick’s Home Medical and the Charles Black Community Center to successfully donate these meals to seniors in the area.
“It’s one of those events...just to see their smiles, their faces, their gratitude really warms our hearts,” said Latorya Greene the Community Health and Wellbeing director at Saint Joeph Health System.
