Like Pueblo chile, when it comes to the Centennial State's gray wolves New Mexico has drawn a line: Keep them in Colorado.
On Thursday, Colorado Parks and Wildlife announced it had rereleased a gray wolf captured by the New Mexico Department Game and Fish. The wolf, a lone male, had crossed state lines and was relocated to a northern Colorado county.
According to the Colorado wildlife agency, the wolf was placed in an area close to a single female gray wolf, away from livestock and near prey populations. Acting Colorado Parks and Wildlife director Laura Clellan said in a statement the wolf was released in a location "where it can best contribute to CPW's efforts to establish a self-sustaining wolf population while concurrently attempting to minimize potential wolf-related livestock confl
