A shooting investigation on I-94 prompted the closure of two ramps to the expressway during rush hour Friday afternoon, state police said.

Around 4:33 p.m., a shooting occurred on southbound I-94 near South Stoney Island Avenue in Chicago, Illinois State Police said.

As of 5:30 p.m., the ramp from East 103rd Street to I-94 southbound and from South Stoney Island Avenue to I-94 southbound were closed by state police for an investigation.

Aerial footage from NBC Chicago Sky 5 showed traffic building near the investigation around 5 p.m.
