GLASGOW, Ky.- Friday morning, University of Kentucky basketball legend Jack “Goose” Givens held a meet and greet at the Glasgow Electrical Plant Board.

Numerous members of the Barren County community were in attendance to meet the Wildcat legend. People brought signs, posters, memorabilia, and lots of Kentucky merchandise to be signed by the 1978 National Champion.

There was also a raffle being held with a chance to win two Kentucky basketball tickets or a bottle of bourbon from the 1978 University of Kentucky National Championship team.

For Goose, the best part of the day was meeting the fans and hearing the various stories they had. He also said he doesn’t get to this part of the state often, so it was nice to connect with the people in Glasgow.
