Given the clear direction made by the federal government, it’s a little shocking to learn that girls at Monroe High School had to compete with and share a locker room with a biological male, regardless of that male’s choice to identify as a female.
The issue is that a girls’ volleyball team from Monroe learned — after the fact — that a transgender girl allegedly had participated on the Ann Arbor Skyline High School team that opposed them and had changed in the girls’ changing room after the game on Sept. 9, and in a second game Oct. 26 but without the sharing of a locker room.
