Mangaluru: The BIT Annual Athletics Meet 2025-26 was held on Thursday, December 11, at 9:30 AM at the BIT campus grounds here.

The event was organised by the Department of Physical Education and Sports, Bearys Institute of Technology, and was coordinated by Ansar, Director of Physical Education. Dr. Pooja from the Civil Engineering Department delivered the welcome address.

The Annual Athletics Meet was formally inaugurated by the principal, Dr. S. I. Manjur Basha. In his inaugural address, he emphasised BIT’s commitment to nurturing a strong sports culture alongside academic excellence.

The inauguration was followed by the hoisting of the sports flag, marking the official commencement of the athletic events.
