Kingsford will take a 3-1 boys basketball record into three road games next week, following a 62-54 win Thursday at Negaunee.
A three-pointer by Jett Buckley followed by a Jack Kriegl layup gave Kingsford a 35-28 lead heading into halftime. The Flivvers never trailed after that, although the Miners made several runs to cut it to one score.
Kriegl paced the Flivvers with 20 points, five rebounds and three assists. Gaige Sorenson added 16 points and four rebounds.
Buckley finished with 11 points and six rebounds while Owen Olkkonen added eight points and four boards.
“Alex Erickson and Matt Sundquist gave us great minutes,” said Kingsford coach Ben Olsen.
Easton Guenette led Negaunee with 25 points.
