ONEIDA, Wis. – Bristol Sanicki sank four 3-point shots and Elesia Sweig buried three more as the Niagara Lady Badgers stopped a brief two-game losing streak with a 58-31 victory over Oneida Nation in a Marinette and Oconto Conference contest at Oneida Nation High School.
Sanicki paced Niagara with 18 points, while Alivia Kleikamp finished with 17. Sydney Swanson hit for 11 and Sweig contributed nine for the Badgers, who built a 24-14 lead at halftime before pulling away in the second half.
In addition to their outside shooting prowess, the Badgers (3-3 overall, 2-2 in the M&O) did damage at the free throw line with 13 made shots. Swanson and Kleikamp sank five each.
Javonna Espinoza topped the Thunderhawks (1-3, 1-2) with 11 points.
The Badgers are off until Friday when they will trave
