SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Our up-and-down temperatures go back to the upside for the weekend. But the warm reprieve will be short-lived. Another cold front will push through the Suncoast Sunday night, bringing significantly cooler air to the Suncoast. Monday will see highs in the 60s to near 70°, and overnight lows will dip into the 40s and low 50s on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Then temperatures rebound sharply once again, with highs returning to near 80° by Thursday.

Even with the recent cool temps, December averages are warm so far. Temperatures have been 3° to 4° above average. That average could climb with our weekend warmup, and the next warmup by the end of the week and the week before Christmas.
