In Kerala civic polls, the Congress-led UDF is leading in 3155 wards.
The NDA is leading in the municipal elections in Kerala. In these elections, the Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation (TMC) has won 50 out of 101 wards. This lead comes when Kerala has been the strong hold of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) for the last 45 years. Amid all this the Congress-led LDF has been winning in just 19 wards.
Earlier, in the Thiruvananthapuram local body elections in 2020, the LDF had won 52 wards. The BJP-led NDA had won 33 wards and the UDF had won 10 wards.
Notably, Thiruvananthapuram is considered the strong hold of Congress MP Shahi Tharoor.
