Accused Kulendra Sharma in police custody.

Police have arrested a retired Air Force officer from Assam’s Sonitpur district. The accused has been identified as Kulendra Sharma. He is accused of having links with Pakistani intelligence agents. The arrest was made based on intelligence inputs.

According to the police, Kulendra was in contact with individuals linked to a Pakistani agency through social media and was sharing sensitive information related to the armed forces with them. Suspicious material has been recovered from his mobile phone and laptop, though there is suspicion that some data was deleted.

Sonitpur DSP Haricharan Bhumij said that the suspicion regarding Kulendra’s links with Pakistan is quite strong.
