PEORIA, Ill. – Another round of winter weather is headed our way.
25 News First Alert Chief Meteorologist Brian Walder has designated First Alert Weather Days for Saturday and Sunday.
“Snow will be likely Saturday morning and afternoon. Upward of 3-6 inches of snow will be possible, which will lead to difficult travel at times,” Walder says.
Dangerously cold wind will follow the storm heading into Sunday morning.
“The wind chills could be as low as -20 to -25. Frostbite can occur in as little as 15 to 30 minutes on exposed skin in these conditions,” Walder says.
The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday, and a Cold Weather Advisory will be in effect from 8 p.m. Saturday through Noon on Sunday.
