COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Police said one man is recovering after a traffic crash caused lane closures early Saturday morning.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), a patrol officer was in the area of Palmer Park Boulevard and North Academy Boulevard at 1:32 a.m. when she found a traffic crash that had just occurred.

Police said the crash involved two vehicles. One passenger was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The intersection was closed to eastbound, westbound, and northbound traffic during the investigation. All traffic lanes were reopened at 4:45 a.m.

Police believe impairment was a factor in the crash.
