DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - A Douglas County man has avoided jail time after pleading guilty to child sexual exploitation charges.
According to the 23 rd Judicial District Attorney’s Office, Franklin Camp, 33, admitted to having sexual relations with a family friend’s 15-year-old daughter.
Detectives say Camp took the child to a hotel for sexual relations on multiple occasions, including once when he picked her up from school. Prosecutors described these behaviors as a pattern of abuse and grooming.
The DA said Camp also persuaded the child to take the Plan B emergency contraception pill.
The child’s father alerted the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office after reportedly discovering graphic text messages between the two.
