DALLAS — Dallas Mavericks guard Dante Exum underwent successful surgery on his right knee, the team announced Friday.

The Mavs said Exum's surgery was performed at Dr. Andy Williams at the Fortius Clinic in London. Exum had the surgery after dealing with complications from an offseason surgery .

Exum returned to Dallas over the summer on a one-year deal worth $3.3 million , but persistent knee problems kept him from taking part in training camp or team practices. Dallas announced in November that Exum would be out for the season.

An exact timetable for Exum's return was unclear.
