LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Laredo police have arrested a teenager for stealing a work truck that crossed into Mexico before being recovered.

The incident happened on July 22 when officers went to the 300 block of West Hillside Road. A man said his pickup truck with various tools was missing.

The man said the truck was locked and its alarm was going off. Investigators later found that the truck had crossed into Mexico around 5 a.m. that morning.

The victim’s employer found the truck’s location using a GPS tracking system. On Sunday, Dec. 7, 17-year-old Carlos Hernandez Flores was arrested for theft of a motor vehicle.
