CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — Cedar Falls is introducing a new initiative called 'Snow Buddies' to enhance safety and community spirit this winter.

The program, launched by the City of Cedar Falls and the Cedar Falls Bicycle and Pedestrian Commission, seeks volunteers to assist residents who are unable to clear snow from their sidewalks due to physical or financial constraints.

Volunteers will be paired with residents in need, ideally close to their own homes, and are expected to provide their own snow-removal tools.

To participate as a volunteer or to request assistance, individuals can call (319) 268-5156 or email SnowBuddies@cedarfalls.com .
