A Christmas event in Edinburgh was pulled on Saturday amid high winds. Christmas at the Botanics was closed on December 13 for 'visitor safety', with gusts of up to 47mph seen in the city.

This comes as The Met Office issues a yellow weather warning for heavy rain in West Lothian . The warning is in place from midday on December 13 until 11.59pm on December 14.

While Edinburgh isn't covered by the warning, the Met Office has suggested persistent rain for the capital and strong winds. These are expected to ease by Sunday morning.
