RHODE ISLAND, USA — A shooting in the engineering building at Brown University left at least two people dead and eight in critical but stable condition Saturday, Providence's mayor said, as authorities searched for the gunman.
The deadly shooting happened on the second day of final exams.
"The unthinkable has happened," Rhode Island Gov. Dan McKee said during a press conference.
Deputy chief of police Timothy O’Hara said the suspect is a man dressed in black last seen leaving the engineering building. Police officials said they're working to find video footage of the suspect and are asking anyone with information to contact them.
No weapons have yet been recovered either.
