SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) - With more freezing temperatures on the way, cold weather shelters are set to open Sunday, December 14, for anyone in need.

Harrison County

Kenny Fournier Multipurpose Center in D’Iberville (10395 Automall Parkway)

Opens at 4 p.m. Sunday

Pearl River County

Poplarville Community Saferoom (124 Rodeo Street)

Opens at 5 p.m.

Pets are not allowed

Bring anything you may need (food, water, etc.)

On Saturday, the Humane Society of South Mississippi announced they will be opening a shelter for vulnerable pets.

WLOX is monitoring the status of cold shelters across the coast and will update this list as more announcements are made.
