Two Georgia football players were arrested Friday and charged with misdemeanor theft by shoplifting.
Starting offensive guard Dontrell Glover and running back Bo Walker were booked into the Clarke County Jail after 5:30 p.m. and released before 8 p.m, according to the jail's online booking report. The arresting agency is the Athens-Clarke County Police.
The incident occurred at Walmart on the east side of Athens, according to a police spokesperson Saturday who said the case remans an active investigation.
Glover, from Fairburn, was an All-SEC Freshman selection after starting the last 11 games this season.
Walker, from Decatur, is also a freshman who has rushed for 100 yards and 3 touchdowns in six games in a reserve role.
