PEORIA ( 25News Now ) -More than 250 runners in festive costumes braved the snow and bitter cold in Downtown Peoria on Saturday for the annual ‘Run, Run Rudolph’ race.
Runners, dressed in creative Christmas attire, started their winter’s journey in front of RC Outfitters on Peoria’s Riverfront.
“This is the 5th running of the ‘Run, Run Rudolph’ and at ShaZam Racing we are about celebrating life. The holidays are such a wonderful time to do just that and what better way in which to celebrate than to have a community run and walk. That’s why we’re out here on a beautiful snowy day,” said race director Adam White.
The event was held in support of the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Drive.
