Thousands will gather to run and watch the Dallas Marathon as it winds through the city Sunday morning.
While the weather was mild for those participating in the 5K & 10K runs Saturday, temperatures will take a tumble by Sunday’s start time.
The forecast calls for wind chills in the 20s.
It’s on the mind of Brandy Liddell, who drove from St. Louis to compete in the marathon relay.
“It is. We were not prepared for that,” laughed Liddell. “We thought we were going to get a little warm weather out here, but I’m excited. I heard the crowds out here are really lively.”
Runners are prepping with layers.
“I think I’ve packed a total of about five different layers that I can peel off all throughout the race,” said Tyler Riola of McKinney, who will compete in the full marathon.
