With a big night in New York City, Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love was among the four college standouts celebrated at the Heisman Trophy.
The Fighting Irish star was joined by Ohio State's Julian Sayin, Vanderbilt's Diego Pavia, and Indiana's Fernando Mendoza, each of whom stars as quarterbacks for their respective teams. When all was said and done, the final results dubbed Mendoza as the Heisman winner for his body of work with the Hoosiers.
It capped off a strong season for Notre Dame, but also one that was surrounded by drama once the season ended. The Fighting Irish at 10-2 didn't qualify for the College Football Playoff, sending fans into a fury.
