INDIANAPOLIS — Snow fell throughout central Indiana all day Saturday, and while crews worked hard to clear it off roadways, "Snow Buddies" helped their neighbors by clearing walkways.
Susan Springer learned about Snow Buddies Indy on social media and said it is a relief that she does not need to go out in harsh weather conditions.
"We worry about being out here in the cold, especially," said Springer, who was helped by a volunteer shoveler on Saturday.
Springer said it has been a challenging start to the colder months since they just had to buy a new furnace after the old one broke. She has lived on Broadway Street for about 30 years and has seen her fair share of snow that needed to be shoveled.
