Square in Clifton without water for two days due to burst pipe View 2 Images

Residents of Canynge Square in Clifton have been left without running water for two days due to a leaking pipe.

The unfortunate incident occurred on Tuesday evening (December 9) when Bristol Water workers removed concrete from around the pipe, releasing a pre-existing leak which they had no way of detecting before the work started.

Locals were without water in their homes from Tuesday evening until Thursday evening.

“During routine work on Canynge Square in Clifton, our teams discovered that one of our pipes had been covered in concrete by a third party, which had to be removed,” a Bristol Water spokesperson said.

“Following that work, a leak was found which we were able to isolate as quickly as we could.
