The Cleveland Browns took a chance on former Louisville Cardinals wide receiver Jamari Thrash in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL draft.
But nearly two full seasons into his NFL career, Thrash has hit a major road block.
The 24-year-old wideout had logged just 13 catches on 22 targets for 129 yards across 18 games, but he failed to make a real impact or crack the top four on Cleveland’s wide receiver depth chart.

His failure to separate himself among a crowded wide receiver room led to the team ultimately cutting ties with him on Saturday, just 24 hours before the team plays the Chicago Bears, who are the seventh seed in the NFC and just a half game behind the Green Bay Packers for the NFC North lead.
