KIM HELLBERG insists he was never too concerned about Tommy Conway’s 16-game goalless streak. Even so, though, the Boro boss admits he was absolutely delighted when he saw the striker’s penalty hit the back of the net during yesterday’s 3-1 win over QPR.

Conway’s lengthy spell without scoring looking like continuing after he suffered a frustrating first half at the Riverside, even though he and his team-mates were completely dominant as they established a two-goal lead at the break.

The Scottish striker had an effort chalked out for offside, saw a couple of decent penalty appeals turned down and also fired in two excellent efforts that were either blocked by Amadou Mbengue or saved by QPR goalkeeper Paul Nardi.
