Lingering Snow and Slick Roads This Morning
We are still dealing with a few lingering snow showers and pockets of a wintry mix early this morning, but the bulk of the precipitation is beginning to wind down and move out of the area. Overnight, many locations picked up anywhere from a light coating to around an inch of snow, and before that snow began, some sleet fell as well. That has left behind a thin glaze of ice in spots, especially on untreated roads, bridges, and elevated surfaces.
If you do not have to be out on the roads this morning, it is best to avoid travel. Snow- and ice-covered roads could lead to slick spots and slowdowns for the morning commute as crews continue to
