At 1:40 a.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory valid from 5 a.m. until Monday 7 a.m. for Onondaga County.

"Total snow accumulations between 3 and 6 inches," can be anticipated according to the weather service. "The higher end totals will occur from Syracuse north and west across the county, especially in the Skaneateles, Baldwinsville, Clay and Brewerton area. Lower amounts, less than 2 inches are expected over the southeastern portion of Onondaga county; south of I-90 and east of I-81."
