On Sunday at 2:18 a.m. the National Weather Service released an updated cold weather advisory valid from 7 a.m. until Monday 9 a.m. for Westmoreland Ridges, Fayette Ridges and Higher Elevations of Indiana.

The weather service describes, "Very cold wind chills as low as 18 degrees below zero expected."

"The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could result in hypothermia or frostbite if precautions are not taken," explains the weather service. "Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves."
