Chuck Hart was a jack-of-all-trades and a huge part of the Toledo Goaldiggers’ championship hockey teams in the late 1970s and ’80s.
Hart held a hybrid position for the former International Hockey League organization, part trainer and part equipment manager. Hart came to Toledo in 1974 and was part of the Goaldiggers’ inaugural season in 1974-75. That year, led by legendary coach Ted Garvin, the Goaldiggers won the first of four Turner Cup championships.
