The Bharatiya Janata Party has appointed Bihar government minister Nitin Nabin as its National Working President, making him the youngest leader to hold the post at the age of 45. When Amit Shah became the BJP president, he was 50. According to sources, Nabin was unaware of the decision until the last moment.
On the day of the announcement, Nabin was following his routine schedule in Patna when he received an unexpected call around 3 pm. He immediately cancelled all engagements and returned home. Soon after, senior party leaders began arriving. Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary was the first to reach his residence and formally informed him of the appointment, also offering the first congratulations.
