Following a mass shooting during a Hanukkah celebration at a beach in Australia on Sunday, which officials are deeming an antisemitic attack, police in Miami Beach are increasing their security presence at key locations.
Hundreds had gathered for an event at Bondi Beach called Chanukah by the Sea, which was celebrating the start of the Hanukkah Jewish festival.
Eleven people were killed, including one gunman, by police, while a second gunman was taken into custody in critical condition.
As a result of the shooting, Miami Police posted on their Instagram that they are increasing their presence at synagogues, schools and other key locations.
Miami Beach Police said there are currently no credible threats to the community.
