YOUNGSTOWN A snow emergency parking ban is effective in Youngstown beginning at midnight on Monday, Dec. 15, until further notice.

Parking is prohibited on all streets or alleys that measure 25 feet wide or less, and providing no driveway facilities. Any motor vehicle parked in violation of this ordinance will be subject to removal by towing at the owner's expense, according to a Department of Public Works news release.

The release states that a snow emergency occurs when there is an accumulation of snow of four inches or more. The emergency status is intended to reduce potential safety hazards and ensure access for emergency vehicles throughout the city.
