Fire crews in Edinburgh were called to the scene of an incident in the city centre on Saturday night. At around 8.42pm, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) were dispatched.

Crews were called to Bread Street with reports of water flooding into a property . Three appliances and a height appliance were sent to the scene.

The SFRS were told the water was coming in from the flat above. On arrival, they isolated the supply.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service told Edinburgh Live: "We received a call at 8.42pm on Saturday, December 13, to Bread Street.

"We dispatched three appliances and a height appliance. We were given reports of water flooding into a flat from the flat above.

"On arrival, we isolated the supply. Crews left the scene at 9.11pm."
