A woman was killed after a house fire tore through a home, the Cumberland County Coroner’s Office confirmed on Sunday, Dec. 14.
Rosemary Baker, 80, was the sole resident of the home in the 1000 block of Orrs Bridge Road in Hampden Township, where firefighters conducted an extensive search of the structure following the blaze, according to the coroner.
Baker was located after multiple fire companies assisted in the search, which also involved a cadaver dog from Task Force 1, officials said.
The coroner ruled Baker’s cause of death as massive thermal burns.
The incident remains under investigation.
