LAKE CITY, Fla. (WCJB) - Florida Highway Patrol troopers are investigating the death of a five-year-old girl in Lake City.

Around 6:27 p.m. near Northwest Brook Loop, a 39-year-old man was driving a pickup truck with two passengers, a five-year-old girl and a nine-year-old boy.

The younger child fell from the vehicle and was taken to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
