INGLEWOOD, Calif. – The up and down 2025 season for the Detroit Lions continued Sunday as they fell to the Los Angeles Rams, 41-34, on the road.

The loss drops the Lions to 8-6 on the season and a game and a half behind the Green Bay Packers for the last playoff spot in the NFC with three games to go. The Lions will likely have to win out to reach the playoffs.

Detroit held a 24-17 halftime lead, but Los Angeles scored 17 unanswered in the third quarter to push their lead to 34-24 heading into the fourth quarter. A Jake Bates 48-yard field goal midway through the fourth pulled the Lions to within one score, but the defense couldn't come up with a stop as Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford found tight end Colby Parkinson for his second touchdown of the game to give Los Angeles a 41-27 lea
