CLAREMONT, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Two members of a Catawba County family were charged with possession and the sale of several types of narcotics following searches on Saturday.
According to the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office, deputies conducted a traffic stop on individuals suspected of trafficking marijuana. During the stop, investigators developed sufficient information to search the vehicle, which led to the alleged discovery of approximately 6.6 pounds of marijuana, one gram of methamphetamine, two dosage units of Buprenorphine hydrochloride, drug paraphernalia, and $511 in cash.
The vehicle was occupied by 32-year-old David Enoch McClellan and Frances Leeanna McClellan, 51.
