HONOLULU (Island News) – The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) arrested and charged the man in connection to the acid attack in Chinatown that left a man critically injured.
Police arrested 34-year-old Marquis Johnson on Sunday, Aug. 17 on suspicion of throwing acid at a 30-year-old man in Chinatown on Friday, Aug. 8, leaving him with severe facial burns. He turned himself in at the main police station in Honolulu.
Johnson was charged on Tuesday, Aug. 19, for first-degree assault. His bail was set at $500,000.
