KALIHI, Hawaii (Island News) – A man was rushed to a hospital after two hit-and-runs occurred in the Kalihi area early Thursday morning.
The collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian occurred at about 12:03 a.m. on Nimitz Hwy in the Kalihi area.
It was reported that a 50-year-old man was lying in the roadway of the eastbound lanes of Nimitz Hwy when he was struck by an unidentified driver who continued to travel eastbound on the highway.
The unknown driver did not stop to help or provide information.
After the initial collision, the 50-year-old pedestrian was then struck by a second unidentified driver who also continued to drive eastbound without stopping.
