MONROE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Two arrests have been made after a high-speed police chase across the county line, according to Monroe Police.
Around 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, a Monroe Police officer tried to stop a Dodge Charger reportedly with a fake license plate. Officials say the Dodge did not stop and sped off.
Police say during the chase, the Dodge crashed into another car but continued to drive off at a high speed. No one was hurt in the crash.
The chase continued into Indian Trail and Matthews with the help of the Union County Sheriff's Office and Matthews Police. The chase finally ended in Matthews when officers were able to stop the car.
