DUNDEE, Mich. — Update: On Friday, Aug. 29, Dundee Community Schools sent out another letter to parents addressing the mold remediation progress within the district's buildings. According to the letter, the school year remains on schedule to start Tuesday, Sept. 2.

Expanding testing of the elementary and middle schools showed no identifiable issues, except for a middle school storage room. The remediation of the room was completed, according to the district.

Out of ten classrooms in the elementary schools and middle school that needed remediation, nine have been cleared as safe. One middle school classroom, which the district states operates on a separate, older HVAC system, continued to show elevated levels of mold and mildew.
