After a lengthy discussion, the Chandler Unified School District Governing Board approved a pamphlet change — and not a moment too soon.
The CUSD board voted unanimously to approve a small, if also significant, change in language that will appear in the board’s pro-vote override all-mail election pamphlet.
The key change added, as emphasized by at least three board members at their Aug. 6 meeting, was to add the word “yes” to a line within the 200-word argument, urging voters to pass the override.
The change was made just before the Aug. 8 deadline for districts to turn in the pamphlet language to Maricopa County election officials as part of the Nov. 4 election cycle.
