WARRICK COUNTY, Ind. (WEVV) — We are learning more about two arrests that took place at the town hall event in Newburgh on Wednesday night.

As we reported , Amanda Bennett and Matthew Eike were arrested on charges including Battery Against a Public Safety Official, Resisting Law Enforcement, and Disorderly Conduct following a chaotic incident at the Ohio Township Community Building.

44News has obtained reports from two law enforcement officials who were working a security detail for Indiana Lieutenant Governor Micah Beckwith at the event.

Footage of the incident circulating on social media shows a deputy taking Bennett to the ground.

The deputy's report says he was working off-duty for the Lieutenant Governor detail when the crowd appeared to have "several professional protestors." It
