PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A Phoenix taco restaurant owner who is in the U.S. illegally has switched his plea to accusations that he hid and employed people in the U.S illegally.

According to the Justice Department, 42-year-old Blademir Angulo Audeves pleaded guilty on Wednesday to one count of alien in possession of a firearm and one count of knowingly employing unauthorized aliens.

Audeves admitted to hiring and having 12 undocumented migrants work for him at his brick-and-mortar restaurant called El Taco Loko on 67th Avenue and Indian School Road, his taco trailer in Laveen and his taco bus in Maricopa.

He also had three guns and ammunition in July when federal agents searched his homes. He wasn’t allowed to have them since he’s in the country illegally.
