Earlier this month, Maricopa Police Department checked in with some of the 80 sex offenders who are known to live in the city. They arrested three for not being in compliance with state regulations.

On Aug. 8, Maricopa cops arrested Alden Cacpal, 27, for buying a new vehicle without telling the state about it. That same day, officers also arrested James Attebery, 36, who was driving a Jeep Renegade without telling the state what he was driving. The next day, Richard Fox, 47, was arrested for showing officers an expired ID.

They are strict standards kept by the City of Maricopa and guided by state law.
